Lord, how I love this new name You’ve given me— “Mommy”!
Is this the name for me that You’ve written upon the palms of your hands (Isa. 49:16)?
What an awsome honor to be called Mommy—caretaker, nurturer, teacher, comforter, example of faith. My greatest joy lies in this name. But so do my greatest fears, Father. What if I can’t live up to it?
My only hope is that You “gently lead those that have young” (Isa. 40:11). That means me.
May I lean wholly on Your name as You enable me to live up to mine.
